The charts, what they are for, and how to choose which you see
Where to find them
Every league has an Analytics tab. It fills up as rounds finish, and it only ever looks at completed rounds, so a round in progress never appears.
There is a Your Analytics screen as well, which covers your own social standing in the league rather than drawing charts.
Why a chart is missing
Most charts need a certain amount of history before they say anything. Rather than showing you an empty frame, they hide until they have something to draw.
A brand new league will show very little. This is normal and it fills in as the season runs.
The charts
There are 23 cards in total. Each has an information button explaining how to read it.
- Points over time
- Everyone's running total, round by round.
- Rank over time
- Positions changing hands across the season.
- Round spread
- Every song in a round as a dot, so you can see a blowout from a dogfight.
- Read the room
- Whether a song's score came from everyone agreeing or from a few people caring a lot.
- Voting patterns
- Who tends to give points to whom.
- Points, by what you guessed
- Whether knowing who submitted a song changes how you vote on it.
- Head to head
- Your record against each other player.
- Who sounds like who
- Whose submissions keep getting mistaken for whose.
- Detective leaderboard
- Guessing accuracy, and how it moves over the season.
- Best disguise
- The player hardest to identify.
- Predictability
- How often the league names you, against what pure chance would score.
- Near misses
- Rounds decided by almost nothing.
- Kingmaker
- Whose votes actually decided rounds.
- Artists the league goes back to
- The names that keep reappearing and how they do.
- Which prompts split the room
- Themes that produced disagreement rather than consensus.
- Deep cuts versus radio hits
- Whether obscure picks or famous ones score better here.
- Normalized score
- Scores adjusted for how generous each round was.
- Does the top of the list win?
- Whether position on the voting screen affects results.
- Down to the wire
- When people actually submit and vote, against the deadline.
- Most Loved
- The round's runaway favourite.
- Most Controversial
- The song that split the room hardest.
- Most Neglected
- The song nobody picked up on.
- Hitmaker and Crate Digger
- Who reaches for the famous and who reaches for the obscure.
Choosing which charts you see
The Customize button lets you switch individual cards off. The choice is yours alone and applies to that league only, so hiding a chart does not hide it from anybody else.
A chart added in a later version of the app arrives switched on, even if you have hidden others.
Switching off the unkind ones
A league can be created with the harsher cards turned off, so things like Most Neglected never appear. That is a league level choice made at creation, not a personal one.
The end of a league
When a league finishes there is a breakdown screen pulling everything together: final standings, Best Friend standings, the league's analytics, your own analytics, and the nice things people said about your picks.
